World's Best Aperitifs Liqueur

World's Best Aperitifs Liqueur
Country Winner
Pennington's Distillery
Summit Aperitif

England

"Perfumed and it is reminiscent of a classic barbershop with all the spices and herbs but it has a great deal of elegance and balance on the nose between the elements. There's a nice orchard fruit and elderflower background with wormwood and herbal notes. The appetising bitterness is so well integrated."

Australia

"Pleasant and gentle nose with a sense of elegance. It continues on the palate with a touch of bitterness and sweetness and a bit of distant citrus. The nose and palate has boiled sweets, some tropical fruit and tangerines."

"Lovely spicy almost barbershop set of complex and uplifting aromas with orange peel and herbal notes. Lovely and smooth on the palate with a fruity note and plenty of spices, bitter orange and herbs on the finish. Rounded and it lingers. The set of aromas are exceptional."

"Lovely herbal nose, with a touch of citrus - perhaps more on the burnt orange direction. The palate is sweet and bitter at the same time but the herbal bitterness balances the big sweet start. The citrus carries it to a long finish - great colour too. Very nice and it would be great in a spritz type aperitivo."

Oolong Tea Umeshu

"Intriguing and appetising zesty plum based first impression with a floral and lifted note. The sweet and sour balance and the bitter and sharp note lifts this further. Light and elegant but superbly refreshing and well-composed. The tea is beautifully composed and it has a very entertaining long flavour journey."

"Reminiscent of almond and vanilla, perhaps even pandan. Plush and aromatic on the nose with marzipan and even cherries and plums. It is fruity, earthy, sweet and zesty all at the same time with the fruity and marzipan element working along nicely."
